At a special general meeting of the Geological Society of Glasgow held on 9 May, 2019, the following resolution was put before the society:
“That in recognition of his distinction in service and contribution to the objects of this society, Dr Benjamin H. Browne, of Milngavie, Glasgow be and hereby is elected an honorary member of the society.”
The resolution was carried unanimously.
