At Balmaha, take a walk along the Highland Boundary Fault zone, evidence of a time where Scotland was split into a series of mini continents, known as “terranes”. Enjoy a mixture of sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, and stunning views across Loch Lomond.

Public transport to Balmaha is a local bus service from Balloch via Drymen. Balloch can be reached by bus or suburban train from Glasgow. There is a charge for use of the Stirling Council car park in Balmaha. Refreshments are available in the village and there is also a village shop. Toilets are available at the NP Visitor Centre during opening hours.
