Membership of the society is open to all who are interested in geology. The membership year runs from October until September. The membership categories and annual subscription rates are as follows:
Ordinary (full) membership: £25.00
Ordinary members have access to the Scottish Journal of Geology, which is published online.
Associate membership: £12.50
Associate membership is available to the spouse/partner of an Ordinary member, to a member of Edinburgh Geological Society, or to anyone over the normal retirement age and who has retired from full time employment. Associate members also have access to the Scottish Journal of Geology.
Junior membership: £6.25
Junior membership is available to anyone who is under 21, or who is a full-time undergraduate student, or who is a recent (within 4 years) graduate. Junior members also have access to the Scottish Journal of Geology.
Gift Aid
It would be financially advantageous to the society if new members who are taxpayers were to make a Gift Aid declaration when applying for membership.
