The walk around the site begins in the main building of the university and includes many of the major buildings, finishing, appropriately, at the Gregory Building, which is the centre for the Earth Sciences.

There are toilets situated near the shop in the main building and also in the Fraser Building.

The Fraser Building is beside the University Library and refreshments are available there on weekdays.

There are also many cafes and restaurants to be found on Byres Road.
Metered car parking is available on nearby Kelvin Way.
