In Hutton’s Tercentenary year, the unconformity at Siccar Point is getting all the attention! But there’s another Hutton unconformity on Arran and it’s much easier to get to! Our day excursion to Arran will visit the unconformity and call in at the nearby Geopark centre in Lochranza. En-route we’ll walk the Corrie shore section – a wonderful continuous exposure from the Devonian Old Red Sandstone through the condensed Carboniferous into the Permian New Red Sandstone
