Members’ Night

The last evening meeting of the session consists of a series of short oral presentations by society members, followed by desktop presentations, nibbles and drinks.

The oral presentations will be as follows:

Margaret Greene – Shaping the Landscape Exhibition at New Lanark

Allan Jack – Jabal Sayid copper mine, Saudi Arabia

David Degan – Rock comparison on Earth, Moon and Mars (including a rock display)

David Webster and students – Glasgow University Remote Island Expedition to Islay

Each talk, including questions, will last for a maximum of 15 minutes.

Any display material, including laptop slideshows and posters, that members would like to bring to contribute to the desktop presentations will be very welcome.

This meeting will be held in the Alexander Stone Building (Lecture Theatre, Room 208) in University Gardens and not in the Gregory Building. The Alexander Stone Building is diagonally across University Gardens from the Gregory Building, just beyond the Queen Margaret Union, and is about 100 m from the Gregory Building.
